The copyright of all documents, images, etc. on this website belongs to the TAO Project, Institute of Astronomy, Graduate School of Science, the University of Tokyo. The content of the site may not be copied, reproduced or altered without permission.

Use of Images and Other Copyrighted Materials

Those who wish to use TAO's images and other copyrighted materials in print, electronic, or broadcast media are requested to submit an application in advance to TAO Public Relations with the following information. Please note that we may decline your application depending on the content of your application.

Application Items

• Applicant’s information (Name, Affiliation, telephone number, email address)
• Images or other materials to be requested (URL etc.)
• Details of use
  • Purpose of Use
  • Media to be used (publications, websites, television, etc.)
  • Date of use (publication date, release date, broadcast date, etc.)
  • Scope of access to the media to be used (e.g., "Accessible only to employees")
  • Proposal for creation using TAO's images and other copyrighted materials

Notes

• When using the materials, please clearly indicate that they are provided by the University of Tokyo Atacama Observatory (TAO) Project (e.g. ,"Photograph courtesy of the University of Tokyo Atacama Observatory (TAO) Project" or "TAO Project").
• All products using TAO's images and other copyrighted materials must be proofread and confirmed by the TAO project before completion. We may request that images be replaced or corrected.
• For finished products created using TAO's images or other materials, please send us a screenshot of the published page and so on.
• Please do not use TAO’s images or materials for any purposes other than those listed in the "Details of Use" section of the application.
• Please contact us each time you wish to reuse (secondary use) the provided images or other materials.
• If we find an instance of use without application, we may request that the use be discontinued.
• Please manage the provided images or materials appropriately and do not provide them to third parties.
• The applicant shall bear all responsibility resulting from the use of the provided images and other copyrighted materials.
