Steady progress in development of the near-infrared instrument SWIMS mounted on the TAO 6.5-m telescope.

The President of Chile gave high appreciation of TAO in a Japan-Chile summit meeting of APEC and in a meeting with the President of the University of Tokyo.

On 23 August, we opened a new exhibition booth of the TAO project at the Communication Center, the University of Tokyo, where we set up a message board.
