Trial Construction of the Dome for the 1-m Telescope Completed in Calama, Chile

The trial construction of the dome and the miniTAO 1-m telescope has been in progress in Calama, Chile, which is located three hours away from Cerro Chajnantor, the site for construction. The construction of the dome has been completed on 13 Feb. 2009.

The groundwork for the dome and the miniTAO 1-m telescope has been in progress at Cerro Chajnantor, the site of the telescope. The placement and curing of concrete has been done.
