First light observations of MAX38 at the Higashi-Hiroshima Astronomical Observatory |

The mid-infrared camera MAX38 successfully saw the first N-band (10 micron) light on the Kanata telescope at the Higashi-Hiroshima Astronomical Observatory. Results of Seeing Measurements at the Summit of Co. Chajnantor |

We have successfully carried out seeing measurement observation in April 2007 on the 2m tower installed at the summit of Co. Chajnantor. The results present that the summit of Co. Chajnantor has a excellent seeing environment, comparable to those of other best sites on the Earth.
