Research Interests

• Dense interstellar medium in galaxies, including Seyfert galaxies, starburst galaxies, barred galaxies, post-starburst galaxies, early-type galaxies, radio galaxies, quasars, submm galaxies, Ly alpha emitters, Ly alpha brobs, H alpha emitters, GRB host galaxies.

• cluster of galaxies in the early universe
  • dust and CO observations of dusty starburst galaxies in proto-clusters
  • high resolution SZ imaging of merging clusters; dynamical evolution of clusters

• Millimeter and Submillimeter telescopes and instruments
  • single dish and interferometers
  • site testing
  • adoptive phase correction methods
  • detectors/receivers with superconducting devices such as SIS mixers and TES bolometers
