TAO

  • Tokyo Atacama Observatory Project, the 6 m infrared/optical telescope at the world highest site (5600 m).

past projects

VST

  • Very Small Telescope (60 cm), the smallest mm-wave telescope for a simultaneous survey of CO(2-1) and 13CO(2-1) emission lines toward Galactic molecular clouds with a new 2SB receiver. Collaboration with Osaka-Pref. Univ., Tokyo Gakugei Univ., and NAOJ.

RAINBOW

  • NMA + NRO 45 m telescope, the world largest millimeter-wave interferometer.

NMA 345 interferometer

  • Submillimeter-wave (345 GHz band) interferometer experiments at Nobeyama. Collaboration with NAOJ, ISAS, and Tokyo Tech. University, etc.
