nsindex
NAME
nsindex - print a cross reference
between a UNIX file name and a NRO newstar/AIPS file name
SYNOPSIS
nsindex [ AIPS ID number] [-detail]
DESCRIPTION
The NRO newstar is based on AIPS file system, in which the file name
is different on UNIX. The AIPS refers the name through a special binary
file. The command "nsindex" show this cross reference on screen.
Using this information you can get proper binary files through the Internet.
If the cross reference binary file is not the standard name, like
"CAC00000.xxx;1", you should use this command without any parameter.
Then the system prompt you to give a full name of the file.

OPTIONS
- -detail
- Give a list with detail information other than the simple name reference.
DEFAULTS
- -prm nsindex.prm
- only show the name references.

BUGS
- The cross reference file of AIPS is binary. Its name is
"CAC00000.xxx;1" in the NRO newstar, where xxx is AIPS ID number
in hexadecimal.
