The 2nd Japan-Taiwan ALMA Science Meeting

27 - 28 July 2006, NAOJ-Mitaka, Tokyo, Japan

[Date] [Venue] [Important dates] [Registration] [Program] [SOC] [Link]

Japan and Taiwan are jointly participating into the ALMA project. Toward its full operation in 2012, it is essential to enhance scientific activities in various ways. With this in mind, a framework of the ALMA science working group was formed, and its general meetings have been held four times in Japan since 2004. Also Japanese and Taiwanese communities cooperatively held the first Japan-Taiwan science meeting in Taiwan in Dec. 2005. We have decided to merge these activities by succeeding their good traditions.

The present meeting is thus planned as a general scientific meeting for ALMA in Japan and Taiwan. The date and venue are listed below. The meeting consists of invited talks, summary reports of the subgroups, and contributed talks. We strongly encourage you to present contributed talks on various research fields relating to ALMA.

Meeting dates

July 27 and 28, 2006

We anticipate that a number of sub-WGs will hold meetings immediately before this AMLA-JT Science meeting, almost certainly on July 26, and possibly also on July 25. We strongly encourage participants of this ALMA-JT meeting to also attend the relevant sub-WG meetings.

Details will be posted on the meeting WEB page when available, and announced by e-mail to all those on this mailing list.
