MAX38 is a mid-infrared camera attached on the miniTAO 1-m telescope located at the summit of Co. Chajnantor, an altitude of 5,640 m.
This is an infrared imager covering 8 to 38 μm wavelength range. In Semester 2011A we open the N-band (10 μm) and the Q-band (20 μm) imaging modes to the Chilean community. The wavelength range of 30 - 38 μm is confirmed to be accessible with the mini-TAO/MAX38, but observing and reduction procedures at this wavelength range have not been well-established yet.
